Would you like to write for Emergency Nurse?

Emergency Nurse is the only practice-based journal in the UK written specifically for nurses providing any aspect of emergency care. It encourages innovation and promotes professional excellence in all pre-hospital, emergency and urgent care settings.

We publish original research, descriptions and case studies of service or practice development, updates in policy or in practice guidelines in the field of emergency care, literature reviews and opinion articles.

We also publish continuing professional development articles to inform, support and educate nurses working in this field of practice, and to help contributors and their readers prepare for revalidation.

If you have an idea for an article or how to develop the journal online or in print, the editorial team wants to hear from you. We have a particular focus on the following areas:

  • Workforce and wellbeing
  • Improvement projects
  • Major and minor trauma
  • Contemporary issues affecting care delivery
  • Children’s emergency care
  • Infection
  • Advanced and enhanced practices
